【摘要】:Preformedtapesealantsaretacky,deformablesolidsthatareusedundercompressionbetweentwosubstratesinavarietyofsealingapplications.Ingeneral,oilmigrationorplasticizerbleed-outisnotdesirable.However,insomelimitedinstances,acontrolledamountofplasticizermigrationissometimesdesiredinordertoimprovethepenetrationofthetapeintotheintersticesofporoussubstrates.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoindicatewhetherornotapreformedtapesealantexhibitsoilorplasticizermigrationand,ifso,towhatextent.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedurethatcanbeusedtodeterminetheoilmigrationorplasticizerbleed-outofpreformedtapesealants.1.2Thevaluesstatedinacceptablemetricunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3ThesubcommitteewithjurisdictionisnotawareofanysimilarISOstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
